Birmingham SHOUT

April 27-29, 2007

Birmingham Shout , Alabama’s first ever gay + lesbian film festival, is in need of a few good men and women! The festival is set for April 27-29 at WorkPlay theatre and includes opening night film & festivities on Friday and films across two venues all day Saturday and Sunday. We have two areas to serve in:
    Public Relations
    • Guerilla Marketing - This involves distribution of the festival’s promotional materials. (Must have a car for local distribution.)
    • Help spread the word on Shout!

    General Assistance
    • Pre-festival Party Assistance - This includes prop-making, painting, and other duties involved with preparations for the parties and receptions during Birmingham Shout. And if you can sew, let us know!
    • Party Assistance - Set up, serve, breakdown and maintenance during the parties at the festival.
    • Venue Assistance - Set up and breakdown of film venues, ticket-taking, etc.
Each volunteer shift earns you one Saturday single film ticket during the festival. All interested parties should email the following information to volunteer@bhamshout.com: name, phone number, preferred email address, and the category in which you would like to volunteer.
